Album review : Through Our Eyes by The Azeem Sisters

“Through Our Eyes” is the latest release from family duo The Azeem Sisters.

Heavily inspired by a recent visit to America’s West Coast, Keeza & Kay’s new album builds up on their already impressive portfolio. Greatly influenced by Justin Timberlake, the girls have seen the need to move on from Disney Princess pop onto a more mature heartfelt sound.

Highlight of the album for me is the track ‘(If it takes) One Million Years’. Note Kay’s oh-so-personal plea that one day she’ll find that special one out there. Keeza’s brings it on with her solo ‘Some Californian Morning”, which asks us to look on the bright side.

But there’s still room for fun, the final track being a medley of Abba favourites presented Bollywood style. You can feel it filling floors at weddings throughout the fall.

‘Through Our Eyes’ sees The Azeem Sisters make the move from pretty pop to something of real beauty. We’re happy to join them on their journey…
